After a map is loaded into LVME window, you can explore it with built-in map controls, such as zoom-in, zoom-out, pan (click & drag the map), measure distance, jump to any scale or set "Home" parameters. | This sample shows the simplest usage of the
engine - exploring some map. As you can see, even such a big city as
Stockholm with lots of streets can be loaded and navigated quite quickly.
All navigation (zooming and moving around the map) is done without
reloading the page! Any Macromedia Flash SWF file with vector/raster map can be loaded into LVME window. In this sample, Stockholm map ("Stockholm.swf") is used. All map options are stored in a text file, where you define how you want the map to appear. You can set the following parameters for the map that you load: - External map file name (an SWF file, "Stockholm.swf" in this sample) - Map name ("Stockholm" in this sample) - Map points-to-kilometers/miles conversion parameter (so that correct distance is shown) - Initial map scale - Initial map position - Minimum zoom level - Maximum zoom level | |||
