Search Mode - completely visual location-based searches

Zoom in/out or drag the blue search square to define the form fields values below

Square center:
X: Y:

Offset:

(!) HTML form fields above can be disabled (to avoid accidental manual entries) or even hidden (to make taking coordinates completely "visual")

This example demonstrates how visual map-based searches can be implemented using LVME. Along with other search criteria, map preferences can be sent to a script (Perl, PHP, ASP, etc.) that performs the search. Three parameters for an HTML form are set by LVME - search square center X & Y and Offset.

For example, if user sets the search square to position X:100, Y:200, Offset: 50, a search script should return all objects, where
50 < X <150 and 150 < Y <250

The following parameters define the Search Mode:

- Initial Search Square X & Y coordinates and scale (so that initially it defines the most probable search area)
- HTML form name
- HTML X field name
- HTML Y field name
- HTML Offset field name

Again, these fields can be hidden in HTML form to make the search completely visual.
